Aging in Place Home Assessments and Modifications

Aging in place means having access to services and the health and social supports you need to live safely and independently in your home or your community for as long as you wish or are able.

There has been a growing awaresness in Canada that home modifications can support Aging in Place, and with the recent health risks of living in long-term care facilities associated COVID-19, people are more than ever choosing to remain at home, close to their neighbours, with thier pets, thier yards, and all the goodness that comes from being able to safely age in place, at home.

Common Aging in Place Home Modifications include adaptations to the entrance, bathroom, kitchen, and other areas of the home to increase safety and functional independence. These modifications can accommodate current and future needs, preventing expensive re-do modifications down the road.

Customized Home Modifications prescribed by an experienced Occupational Therapist and project managed by a skilled professional renovation company can produce a beautiful lifespan home, preventing falls, barrires to access, and future moves.
